50th Prabodhan International Short Film Festival has received 70+ entries of Marathi short films!
The #PrabodhanInternationalShortFilmFestival (#PISFF) is organised by ‘#PrabodhanGoregaon’ to celebrate its 50th anniversary year! Prabodhan Goregaon is a socio-cultural organisation established in 1972.
The main aim of this Festival is to provide a platform for Marathi filmmakers and talents from across the globe. PISFF also intend to enrich the diaspora of Marathi short films by giving guidance on the production of short films as well as its marketing and participation in various international film festivals.
The PISFF will be held on 14th January, 2022 in P. L. Deshpande Kala Academy, Dadar Mumbai.
PISFF received more than 70 entries of Marathi short films. The selection committee rigorously viewed each film and shortlisted official selection of 15 Marathi short films.

Festival Ceremony & Awards Function: The PISFF will host screenings of official selection of films followed by a *ceremony and awards presentation of on evening of 14th January, 2022 (Friday) at Mini Theatre, P. L. Deshpande Kala Academy* (Dadar, Mumbai). Amid the Covid-19 situation, the screenings and ceremony will be organised adhering to all the guidelines and restrictions of Maharashtra State Government and other local authorities.
During this ceremony Festival will also facilitate actor Jitendra Joshi and director Nikhil Mahajan for winning award at the prestigious International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in the world competition section for their Marathi film Godavari.
Acclaimed actor Sandeep Kulkarni will be the chief guest of this ceremony on 14th Jan.
