Contestant Priya Vijan says, “It was a new and fun experience to cook outside “Masterchef India’s” kitchen”!
The Top 13 home cooks on Sony Entertainment Television and SonyLIV’s “#MasterChefIndia” are in for a real treat as they prepare to be whisked away on a trip to Goa.” The three celebrity chefs #RanveerBrar, #VikasKhanna, and #GarimaArora, will come up with exciting tasks to evaluate the contestants’ abilities on the parameters of TIP- Taste, Innovation and Presentation. And now we wait to see if the home cooks can handle the heat of the tropics and the tremendous pressure on the vibrant beaches of Goa.
On January 23rd, to kick off the fourth week, home cooks will compete in an outdoor setting for the very first time in front of a magnificent 400-year-old church in Goa. The judges will give the home cooks a Portugal mystery box full of ingredients, and to the contestant’s surprise, it will contain veggies and products that are commonly used in Indian cooking. The objective is to showcase the vegetables in a way that they haven’t been seen before. Since this is the fourth week, the stakes are high; hence, three competitors will be eliminated after the first thirty minutes based on their level of innovation, and another three will be eliminated after the second forty-five minutes based on their level of presentation. When the timer hits 60, two competitors will be named the winners.
Priya Vijan will compete in this task by presenting a dish that she believes will win over the judges based on the three criteria of “Taste,” “Innovation,” and “Presentation.”
Talking about her experience Priya Vijan says, “It was such a new and fun experience to cook outside “Masterchef India’s” kitchen. I tried my best to be perfect in all the three parameters of TIP and I hope the judges like my dish. I had to really pick at my grey cells for this dish because we had to make something very different with ingredients that are common or garden. That challenged by inner Chef and I poured myself into thinking about the dish and how to bring innovation in the dish.”
Tune in to ‘MasterChef India’, every Monday-Friday at 9 pm on Sony Entertainment Television and SonyLIV.
