Nikhil Nanda says, “Apart from gymming, we should also start playing different sports and practise yoga, which helps in relaxing our body”. We are moving so fast in our day-to-day lives that we hardly get time to take care of our body. This is the reason why our fitness goes for a toss. Entrepreneur turned filmmaker and actor Nikhil Nanda who will be seen in the webseries Criminal Minds, stresses on the importance of exercise for self-care, both physical and mental.
“Man is a social animal and sports other than being a form of exercise or fitness is the best method to engage socially with your peer group, friends and family. So, I think it is an integral part of our lives that we often tend to forget,” he says.
He urges people to take up some sport as it helps us stay healthy. Nikhil also stresses on team sports.
“I think engaging in team sports like cricket, football, basketball or badminton helps us feel better. Also, there are some old sports that we used to play with friends, but we have stopped it now. Apart from gymming, I believe, we should also start playing different sports and practise yoga, which is one of the best forms of exercise and helps your body to relax,” he adds.
