Take a look inside the dabbas of actors Aayudh Bhansuhali, Himani Shivpuri and Aasif Sheikh!
Eating healthy and nutritious food can provide a valuable boost to your wellbeing and success. Here’s a look inside the dabbas of your favourite &TV artists including #AayudhBhansuhali (Krishna, Doosri Maa), #HimaniShivpuri (Katori Amma, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan), and #AasifSheikh (Vibhuti Narayan Mishra, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai).
Aayudh Bhanushali, essaying Krishna in &TV’s show Doosri Maa, shares, “I am a true foodie (laughs). My mother ensures that whatever I eat is healthy. For my show, Doosri Maa, I am staying in Jaipur with my mother, where accommodation and food are provided by the production. Lunchtime is something I look forward to because we all sit together in the cafeteria. These meals typically consist of dal, rice, sabzi, and roti with salad. But this doesn’t mean I don’t carry a tiffin on set. I carry multiple dabbas filled with homemade snacks, fruits, protein bars, and more. I also love eating kurmuras and khakras during my evening breaks. And let me tell you, these are specially made by my grandmother and sent to me from Mumbai every time someone travels from there. So unlock my tiffin and you would find my dabba loaded with a variety of homemade snacks and fruits. Also, since it’s summer in Jaipur, my mother carries nimbu paani and chaas in bottles to keep me hydrated.”
Himani Shivpuri, aka Katori Amma from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shares, “Lunchtime on our sets is special because we sit together and converse while eating. I am a ‘Dabba’ person who never forgets to bring a lunch box whenever shooting. I carry a juice bottle and some dry fruits packed. I like to munch on as and when I feel hungry between the scenes. For lunch, I carry homemade food consisting of a small portion of rice because it is an excellent source of carbs. To add nutritious value to my diet, I consume boiled dal with lots of veggies, one seasonal sabzi without potatoes, and two fruits. My lunch box is both nutritious and delicious.”
Aasif Sheikh, aka Vibhuti Narayan Mishra from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “Everyone knows I am extremely health-conscious and follow my fitness regime religiously. I avoid eating outside food and bring my carry homemade lunch and snacks. A simple Ghar ka Khana with less oil and no sugar is what you can find in my tiffin box. What I love the most is sharing my dabba with my colleagues on sets, and we love to eat together. The most significant thing in my diet is a vegetable or fruit salad. I love eating non-vegetarian food, so chicken, mutton, fish curry with some dal or a sabzi with some phulkas are part of my lunch box. Post-lunch, I eat seasonal fruits. I try to balance my meals with equal amounts of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. Everyone on set loves biryani and kebabs from my house, so there are days I carry dabbas full of these delicacies.”
