Charrul Malik walks the green carpet at IIFA!
Actress #CharrulMalik, who is currently at IIFA, says that her experience has been phenomenal. Charrul, who is a former journalist, says that she feel lucky to have experienced the red carpet as an actor, and as a journalist.
“My experience was mind blowing. I love to be at IIFA and the Eithad Arena was at its full capacity. It was nice because people recognised me because of Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain and also as a journalist. I wore a nice beautiful colourful dress by Designer VK. I went to IIFA in 2013,14,15 as a news anchor/editor. Today standing on the other side made me feel very special and proud,” se says.
She adds, “I walked the green carpet at IIFA and there was an after party which I couldn’t attend because it was quite late. I met Abhishek Bacchan, Boman Irani, Salman Khan, Kriti Sanon, Nushrat Bharuchu, Norah Fatehi, Krystal D’Souza, Baba Siddiqui, and so many more. Most of them were all Indians. There were so many performances inside.”
She says her journey has been very close to her heart. “Honestly, in 2013-14, when I was an anchor, I used to take people’s interviews but now I am at the carpet where I was being interviewed. To be honest, there is so much that I have learnt from my journey of becoming an an anchor to an actor, and to know both the sides. It has taught me to take risks for success. All the actors are very grounded, polite and well-behaved. I am very thankful to God, my well-wishers, my producer Binaiferr Kohli Ma’am, my family and just everyone,” she says.
Talking about her look, she adds, “The credit goes to my designer VK, Vishal Kapoor. I didn’t decide anything, I just informed him that I am going for IIFA, a week before. He understood my choice, my personality, and made exactly what he thought was the best for me, and touchwood I am very happy with all my looks.”
