The social media boom has been a talking point in recent times. It basically was formulated to keep people in touch despite distance. But in recent times it is being used to target people by faceless people. These trolling are dangerous as not everyone is strong enough mentally to digest the negativity on it. In today’s times anything and everything goes viral and no one thinks of negative impact it ,has on the person being trolled. In a newly released movie Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video the lacunae has been pointed out about social media as the theme is kept revolving around a suspense mystery.
Sajini Joshi belonging to a Maharashtrian family is a teacher in school in Pune. Her father (Subodh Bhave) is an actor and a short tempered strict father. Through arranged marriage she is about to get married to an IT engineer (Sohum Majumdar) from Bengaluru. She attends a party and ends up drinking alcohol and dances with male strippers in the club. Somebody shoots the video and posts it on social media. All hell breaks loose in Sajini’s life. Her principal (Bhagyashree) suspends her. She is damn scared of her father and can not go back home. Her fiancée gets annoyed with her because of the viral video and snaps ties with her. And suddenly Sajini goes missing, adding to the mystery of the proceedings. Has she runaway or is being murdered by someone? The female police officer (Nimrat Kaur) is the in charge of investigation supported by a male officer (Chinmay Mandlekar). As the investigation progresses everybody is a suspect, including her family and fiancée. What transpires next and in between forms the crux of the story.
The story is weaved around the logical points and many a times viewers will think that everyone had a motive to kill Sajini or in her disappearance. The screenplay is gripping and keeps everyone on the edge of the seat. Director Mikhil Musale has smartly directed it and not given away the suspense till the climax. The casting director has done a great job and congragretion of fine actors like Subodh Bhave, Kiran Karmalkar, Chinmay Mandlekar, Sumeet Vyas, Shashank Shende, Rashmi Agdekar, Sneha Raikar has elevated the scenes with superb acting. Nimrat Kaur shines in the woman in uniform role. Her ease in front of the cameras is mind blowing. Radhika Madan brings across mentally weak character beautifully and wins hearts as Sajini.
Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video is cleverly made film and is a must watch.
