Review : International standard action in ‘Crakk’!

When a lot of action films are doing well at the box office, comes another another power packed actioner, ‘#Crakk’. Headlined by #VidyutJammwal the action scenes are of super high quality, matching the International action scenes in Hollywood movies. It’s a sports related action film in which Vidyut has raised the bar for all the so-called action Heroes because he has aced each and every frame of action scenes with finesse and accuracy.

Siddharth Dixit aka Siddhu (Vidyut Jammwal), a lower middle class youth staying in a chawl in Mumbai, keeps practising stunts in running trains and jumping roofs for an International sports event, ‘Maidaan’, to get loads of money as a prize. His brother (Ankit Mohan) had actually lost his life while performing stunts in ‘Maidaan’. Maidaan is an underground survival sports competition held in Poland by a bunch of Induans including Dev (Arjun Rampal). Vidyut gets selected for this competition and unearths many things including the real reason for his brother’s death. What transpires after and in between forms the crux of the story.

The story has some novelty as the sport depicted in this is rarely heard of. The competition involves three layers, Race 1, Race 2 and the Challenger’s race. The stunts performed during these levels are outstanding and full marks to cinematography too for meticulously filming adreline rushing action. But in other departments the screenplay fails miserably. Most of the film happens in Poland and all the main characters speak in Hindi to polish people. Dialogues too are average but the light hearted scenes performed by Vidyut are good. Music is passable but background score adds punch to the proceedings. Vidyut Jammwal comes winner in action scenes, which obviously is his forte and does well in emotional scenes too. Arjun Rampal has given an equally punching performance. Nora Fatehi looks beautiful and shines in a limited screen time. Amy Jackson tries hard to get noticed. Others lend good support.

The Jammwalions will definitely like this actioner, ‘Crakk’.
