Review : Inside Out 2, successfully addresses mental health issues!

Inside Out which released in 2015, won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in 2016. Now it’s sequel Inside Out 2 hits the screens and surprisingly the sequel is equally good, if not tad better, as the original. The best children’s movies are those that resonate with kids at every stage of their development and also connect with their parents. inside Out 2 successfully addresses mental health issues.

“Inside Out” showcases five personified emotions residing within the mind of a young girl named Riley. When Riley’s family uproots their life in Minnesota and moves to the Bay Area, her internal world is thrown into chaos. Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust embark on a heartfelt journey to understand the significance of each emotion in aiding Riley to overcome the upheaval and embrace a fresh start in her new home.

The animation is a visual marvel, bursting with vibrant colors, and the intricate world-building will leave you in awe. Young adults will get deeply engrossed in Riley’s journey into adolescence, as her emotional struggles may resonate profoundly with them having navigated similar turbulent times.

It exquisitely weaves humor and melancholy, providing a profoundly moving and unforgettable viewing experience. I fervently hope that Pixar continues this enchanting franchise with a third installment, chronicling Riley and her emotions as they navigate the complexities of adulthood. The possibilities for such a journey are boundless.

Overall, “Inside Out 2” is a cinematic gem that I wholeheartedly recommend.
