Marathi film ‘Choricha Mamla’, goes penta-lingual
A new record will now be set by the movie “Choricha Mamla” which was released a few months back. It has gone penta-lingual. The film will be made in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi, and will be the first Marathi film to be made in five languages. It has been confirmed that all the actors from the first instalment will be part of ‘Choricha Mamla 2’. There is a possibility that some new additions will be done to the existing cast.
Produced by Swaroop Studios and Everest Entertainment, Sudhakar Omale, Akash Pendharkar, Sachin Narkar, Vikas Pawar, Smita Omale are the producers of the film. Written and directed by Priyadarshan Jadhav, the film stars Amrita Khanwilkar, Jitendra Joshi, Hemant Dhome, Kirti Pendharkar, Aniket Vishwasrao and Kshiti Jog. The film tells the story of how an honest thief gets caught stealing from a bungalow. The film won the admiration of the audience with its engaging script, crisp dialogue and excellent acting and rib-tickling comedy.
Marathi films are going across the border and Choricha Mamla is a prime example of it. It certainly is a proud moment for Marathi Film Industry.
