Sahil Mehta reunites with his college friend Tanya Maniktala in ‘Loot Kaand’!
#AmazonMXPlayer, Amazon’s free streaming service, recently released #LootKaand, a gripping heist thriller set in the small town of Purulia. The series follows siblings Latika and Palash, who find themselves entangled in a high-stakes chase over a buried arms cache. As their financial struggles push them into the world of crime and deception, each decision inches them closer to danger, making for an edge-of-the-seat experience. Portraying Palash, a hustler with a knack for trouble, #SahilMehta brings a sense of depth and urgency to the story that keeps the tension soaring. Loot Kaand also features a talented ensemble cast, including #TanyaManiktala, #GyanendraTripathi, #SaadBilgrami, #RonjiniChakraborty, #NitinGoel, and #AmitSarkar in pivotal roles.
For Sahil, the Loot Kaand script was impossible to put down. Recalling how he was completely hooked from the word go, he shared, “When I first got the script, I was given the first three episodes, and later, the rest. It rarely happens that you’re so hooked to the script at the writing stage itself. That’s the mark of a great thriller. I knew from that moment that the audience would also be able to feel the emotion that I felt while reading the script.”
Reuniting with Tanya Maniktala, whom he has known since his college days, was another highlight for Sahil. Sharing his experience working with her and the entire cast, he added, “Tanya and I were in college together. We’ve known each other for seven to eight years now. It was a pleasure to work with her and such talented artists like Gyani Bhai, Aakash, Nitin, Shawnda ji, Ruma ji, Bridge sir, Prashant sir, and Manvendra ji. I learned a lot from all of them. But the real credit goes to the people behind the camera – our director Ruchir, producers Raghav and Prithvish, and the entire crew. A special mention to Amazon MX Player for believing in Loot Kaand and bringing this story to life.”
Loot Kaand is now streaming for free exclusively on Amazon MX Player, available through its apps on mobile, Amazon’s shopping app, Prime Video, Fire TV, and Connected TVs.
