Delightful!
The light-hearted comedy is inspired from a French novel titled ‘Ingredients of Love’. The writer, who had directed Dangal very skillfully adapts the said book into the film’s script by changing the premise of the story from France to Uttar Pradesh. With a voice over introduction by writer Javed Akhtar, the film is all about a bubbly girl Bitti Mishra (Kriti Sanon), whose marriage becomes the prime concern of her parents (Seema Pahwa and Pankaj Tripathi). One day, when she reads about the central character of a book titled ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’, she decides to locate him with the help of her friend Chirag Dubey (Ayushmaan Khurrana).

THE PLUS POINTS:
The sweet and delightful hilarious one-liners totally work. The film belongs out and out to Kriti Sanon. Her performance in the film is convincing and she looks true to her character. Ayushmann Khurrana, plays a role with negative shades for the first time and scores but it is Rajkummar Rao, who steals the show, besides Kriti Sanon.

THE MINUS POINTS:
The film at times trends to be repetitive and needs a bit of trimming to make it slicker.

THE VERDICT:
It is a delightful ‘must watch” film.
