Disappointing!
Queen Gitanjali Devi (Ileana D’Cruz) has her ancestral gold hoard impounded from her palace by the government in 1973 and orders her security in-charge Bhawani Singh (Ajay Devgn) to grab the lost booty back for her. Bhawani hires a band of four desperadoes, including her aide Sanjana (Esha Gupta), burglar Tikla (Sanjay Mishra and goon Dalia (Emraan Hashmi) for the mission to waylay the high-value consignment which is transported from Rajasthan to Delhi by road. Major Seher Singh (Vidyut Jamwal) becomes a massive obstacle.
PLUS POINTS:
Ajay Devgn sleepwalks through his role, while Emraan Hashmi is good. Vidyut Jammwal is just about passable. Sanjay Mishra is the most natural of the lot. Ileana passes muster as the Maharani with hidden facets.
MINUS POINTS:
The weakest part in this heist film is the heist itself. It lacks a coherent screenplay and in vain you await something extra ordinary to happen.
VERDICT:
The film ends up as a rehashed ‘90s story with some gloss and a lot of disappointment.
