KJSPITI join Hands with KEF to teach A Multi Skill Technician Course
Multi-skilled technicians have an increasing demand in the hospitality and construction industry. K J Somaiya Private Industrial Training Institute (KJSPITI) in association with Kotak Education Foundation (KEF) has taken a step towards professionally training the students with a Multi Skill Technician course in HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing. The 11 months course includes five months of classroom teaching and six months of internship in reputed hotels and hospitals.
The course curriculum is designed to capture and provide knowledge on electricals, refrigeration, air-conditioning, & plumbing, and includes basic and advanced studies in repair & maintenance of plumbing, electrical systems, air-conditioning, monitoring, & controlling the building management system along with safety and cleanliness at the workplace. The paid internship shall provide the students an opportunity to learn the practical skills on job alongside enhancing their ability to work on the machines and understand the processes involved.
K J Somaiya Private Industrial Training Institute is providing the infrastructure required for the training during the program (laboratories, classrooms, equipment, computers, internet connection, etc). The institute is also responsible for equipping students with course content and domain trainers and domain-related assessment. Last but not the least, placement assistance to a minimum of 80% of the trained aspirants will be taken care of by the institute, while for rest 20% would be looked after by Kotak Education Foundation.
The training cost involved in the program is funded by Kotak Education Foundation. They will also be taking charge of mobilizing the students with in the 4 – 5 KMs radius of the training centre. They are also offering 200 hours of training in non-domain areas which will include work readiness module, life skills, basic spoken English, and basic IT training with NIIT certification.
