The motive behind Prateek Rana’s NGO is the thought that ‘no one will sleep hungry’
Online sensation, actor, and social media influencer Prateek Rana has millions of fan following. His content on Tik Tok and other social media platforms had become a rage and made him a youth icon at a very young age. With the power to influence so many young minds, comes a great deal of responsibility and Prateek is very well aware about that. In order to contribute his bit to the society, the young start has decided to start an NGO which is going to help many people across the country fulfill their dreams.
Talking about this initiative, Prateek says,”I have decided to start an NGO and with this I will support the underprivileged to start their own small business or some form of livelihood. The main motive behind this is the thought that ‘no one will sleep hungry’. For instance, if I come across a beggar who wants a little push to come out of his situation, I’ll help him start a tea stall. I’ll give him a small gas cylinder, tea, milk, and all necessary need to open a tea stall,” shares the influencer.
The thought which inspired him to do this, was the helpless feeling he got every time he saw someone begging on the road. “I see so many beggars outside the temple and on footpaths, I always feel bad to see this that how cruel this world is, no one is there to help them. Then I thought to start an NGO as an initiative and inspire today’s youth so that they will also help them and get a change in our society. I feel really bad that there is so much difference between how God’s children survive. One is really rich and the other is living his life in a bad state,” he says.
The young man is of the opinion that “Every youth should help others. I am really proud of myself that I am going to help poors or by me beggars will live their life comfortably.”
After attaining the status of a public figure, Prateek knew what responsibility he has as the youth of this country. “Being a public figure invokes the responsibility in you. People follow social media influencers and make them their idol and an idol has so much of responsibility on his/her shoulder, they have to inspire the world for a good cause and get a good change in the society,” he says.
Prateek shares that the NGO would have been functioning now, but got delayed due to the pandemic of Coronavirus. “It could have started a couple of months ago but this corona crisis comes up due to that my NGO has been delayed but soon I will open this as soon as corona goes off,” he says and adding about his involvement in the NGO, he adds, “It will be my daily job to go out daily, seek for helpless beggars and then I shop for them according to their comfortable business. Like some want a tea stall and some want a momos stall depends upon their own talent, and then help them opening that and give him a new life to live.”
