Therefore, this year, on Dhanteras, we have decided to get a utensil set, not just for us but for our house help too! Teaching my children values, such as generosity and selflessness during the time of festivities, is ideal. The significance of the occasion is rarely known, and I will take this time to ensure they gain knowledge. For it is in giving that we receive.”
Gracy Singh says, “Dhanteras marks the beginning of Diwali, so I take this time to prepare my house for the auspicious event. From colourful and vibrant rangolis to making diyas, it is also the perfect time to start something new as the day is considered very auspicious. I wish a very healthy and prosperous Dhanteras to all.”
Yogesh Tripathi shares, “To celebrate the day of wealth, I will indulge in returning the fortune I have been graced with abundantly. We always buy gold or silver every year. However, this year, apart from buying things for our home, we also intend to give a small bonus to our house help and staff, who are a part of our extended family and will help them immensely in such difficult times. The true spirit of the festival lies in the joy through caring and sharing and spreading happiness.”
Kamna Pathak shares, “As the tradition follows I will be buying a new phone this year. I have been eyeballing, this new smartphone that has launched and have saved up for it. What better occasion than Dhanteras to buy a new phone. A very Happy Dhanteras to all!”
Samta Sagar says, “Dhanteras is the gearing up for the Diwali, from cleaning the house and praying to goddess Lakshmi, I light 13 diyas on Dhanteras. I don’t like to splurge, but rather buy things that are in need so that I will be buying a mixer for my house. Dhanteras is also the day I start wearing all-new traditional wear that I have collected over the past year. Wishing a very Shubh Dhanteras to everyone.”
