How was your experience as a participant in the reality show Splitsvilla recently?
I was a participant in the reality dating show Splitsvilla on MTV. It was a fabulous experience for me in the reality show, which was a first time experience for me.

How did you bag the show?
More than me, my friends were very keen on taking part in the reality dating show. I was vacationing in Goa when some friends asked me to record a message and apply for the show. I was elated as well as excited when I was informed that I had been selected to take part in the show.

Didn’t you any inhibitions about going out on blind dates with unknown boys?
Even in day-to-day lives, we are bound to meet both known as well as unknown people. Neither was I scared of meeting unknown boys for the first time on a date nor was I keen on making a boyfriend for life since after all it was only a reality show in which I was taking part.

What attracted you to take up acting?
Right from the time when I was three, my parents have told me that I was always showing signs of taking up acting. I have always wanted to be an actor from the time I was in a knowledgeable age. To me, acting is being live with your character. From the point of view of actors, I do not think there is any difference at all between in films and TVas far as acting is concerned.

What is your concept of beauty?
I was wearing spectacles when I was studying in school and people used to make a lot of fun of me as they felt that I was very ugly. Those who see me now tell me that I have changed drastically for the better. I tell them that if you happen to be beautiful inside, it would automatically reflect outside too.

Do you think that coming from films to TV is a sort of comedown?
Yes. I have made the transition from films to TV. For me, it is about doing what I want to do and not conform to the norms of the society because I do not think practically about what I should be doing. I am much focused and fixed as far as my life is concerned.

Was it easy for you to convince your parents to let you take up acting?
To tell you the truth, my dad did not at all approve of my taking up acting as a career. I have tried very hard but failed to convince him that I am right but until date, unfortunately I have not been able to convince him at all.

What about your boyfriend? Did he readily agree to let you take up acting or raise any objections?
Why should I ask my boyfriend for his permission to let me take up acting? I am not telling him what he should do or not to do. Who is he to tell me what I should do or what I should not. It is none of his business.I am emotional, not practical. If you love me, you should love my choices as well and not try at all to change me because it only will mean that you do not love me but the changed me.Isn’t it?

Are you game for doing lip-to-lip kissing scenes in films?
If the actor’s mouth does not stink, I do not have any objections to agreeing to do a lip lock with the hero. He should be ideally clean-shaven because obviously his beard or moustache should not come in between our lips when we set out to kiss one another’s lips.

Do you have any inhibitions to take off your clothes for a film?
I had absolutely no inhibitions whatsoever even when I started my career as an actor in the beginning. If it is a film with an A grade director like say Mahesh Bhatt or an A grade actor, I have no objections to appearing in a two-piece bikini or for that matter indulging in a passionate lip lock. After all, is not films a world of make believe?

What is your view on virginity? What is your take on sex before marriage?
It is your own choice, whether you want to break your virginity or not. Everyone has his or her own mind-sets and beliefs in life. If virginity makes your man feel very special, it is good. If both you and your guy are comfortable with the idea of using condom in relationship, you should go ahead or else you should not.

Is talent or having a Godfather important to further one’s career?
I feel that talent is more important than having a God gather.

Would you love to be adored as a star or hailed as an actress?
Stardom is given to you by the audiences. If you are not watched by the audiences, you are nowhere but if the audiences watch you and love you, you automatically end up as a mega star.

What kind of roles do you seek?
I am ready to do all kinds of roles in films. Talks are going with some producers but right now I would not like to divulge the details till they are finalised, I want to do women oriented movies so that I can display emotions better in them.
