Actor Jitendra Joshi turns producer with ‘Godavari’!
Actor Jitendra Joshi and writer-director Nikhil Mahajan‘s association dates back to their film Baaji released in 2015. Both wanted to do a film once again and ‘Godavari’ has brought them together.
Actor Jitendra Joshi has made a debut, as a producer, with the film “Godavari” which has been directed by Nikhil Mahajan. The movie will be released on Maharashtra Day (May 1st) and the teaser of the movie was recently launched on social media.
“Godavari” is produced by Blue Drop Films and Jitendra Joshi Pictures, produced by Pawan Malu, Mitali Joshi and co-produced by Akash Pendharkar and Parag Mehta. The film stars Vikram Gokhale, Nina Kulkarni, Jitendra Joshi, Gauri Nalawade, Priyadarshan Jadhav, Sakhi Gokhale and Sanjay Mone. The screenplay is by Nikhil Mahajan and Prajakt Deshmukh and the dialogues are by Prajakt Deshmukh. Songs written by Jitendra Joshi while music is composed by A. V. Prafulchandra.
“Godavari” is a combination of Nikhil Mahajan’s directorial debut and Jitendra Joshi’s selection of sensitive films as an actor. The teaser of the film, which combines family ties and the flowing river, is very beautiful. That is why there is no doubt that “Godavari” will be different.
About the film, director Nikhil Mahajan said that for a long time, an engrossing family story has not been told in a Marathi film. Through this film, we will be able to experience the story of a family situated on the banks of Godavari river in Nashik and their connection with each other.
‘Godavari’ will be screened all over Maharashtra on Maharashtra Day, this year.
