‘Virushka’ welcomes a baby girl!

Monday, 11th January, 2021 was a big day for Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli. ‘Virushka’ welcomed a baby girl and in the afternoon Virat announced the birth of his daughter in an Instagram post. He wrote, “We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Love, Virat.”

Immediately, the congratulatory messages started pouring in from the film and cricketing world. Virat had announced Anushka’s pregnancy in August last year saying, ‘And then, we were three. Arriving Jan 2021’. Virat was touring Australia and in the first phase of cricket tour Anushka too was with him. He excused himself after first test match and came back to Mumbai to be aside his expecting wife. He is currently on a paternity leave but follows every moment of indian cricket.

BCCI and cricketers such as Sachin Tendulkar, David Warner, Hardik Pandya, Virender Sehwag and actors such as Madhuri Dixit, Rakul Preet Singh, Bipasha Basu, Ishaan Khatter and many many others congratulated Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, who welcomed a baby girl on Monday.
