Covid Warriors will be felicitated on 72nd Republic Day by People’s Art Centre
People’s Art Centre celebrates its 1032nd program on 26th January 2021 in a very special manner. The event is being dedicated to all those people who from different walks of life dedicated their time, energy, and financial resources in helping other people fight the pandemic.
The pandemic was a completely unprecedented and disastrous event that turned the entire world upside down and people had to learn to cope with it. Apart from the medical aspect of the virus, the economic implications set a toll on the people. In India, there are many weaker sections that was impacted since they lived off daily wages. Mumbai particularly also has a large migrant population who were stranded without a home and no job. While the govt. did try and make things easy, it was the good-hearted men and women, who demonstrated incredible empathy towards the weaker sections of society.
Aptly titled ‘A Grand Felicitation of Covid-19 Warriors’the event would honour a variety of individuals who in their own capacity went out of the way to help the society recover from the pandemic crisis that overwhelmed the city and its neighboring areas. While some are prominent people, many others are good Samaritans who used their own resources to help the less privileged.
