‘PPFF’ selects ‘Enigma-The Fallen Star’ for screening!
World Premier of the short film ‘Enigma –The Fallen Star’ at the prestigious Paris Play Film Festival (PPFF) on 6th February 2021. Directed by Abhay Thakur, the film has garnered awards at multiple international film festivals. This is the debut film of the young director and is a different take on the real, dark and selfish instincts that reside amongst us.
This is the only Indian Short film to be selected at the festival and has reached the semi-final round which has 28 films from 14 countries. This film will be available online as a world premiere for 24 hours only from the sixth of February. The film was also selected and showcased in the final rounds at New Jersey Film Awards as was informed by Abhay who has also produced the film.
The list of film festivals that this film has made rounds off and has won awards is impressive and worth applauding. World Film Carnival- Singapore, Kolkatta International Cult Film Festival, Eastern Europe International Movie Awards, Tagore International Film Festival, Port Blair International Film Festival, L’Age d’Or International Arthouse Film Festival Kolkata, Uruvatti international Film Festival Tamil Nadu, European Cinematography Awards Amsterdam, Golden Short Film Festival Rome Italy, Rajasthan international film Festival etc. it has won more than 25 awards in different categories including Best Thriller and Best Director.
Dream Catcher Motion Picture and Snowflake Studios has produced the film jointly and Abhay Thakur and Ajit Thakur have contributed in the screenplay development. Script written by Arjun Pradhan, Cinematography by Ashish Mistry. The film features Ruchita Jadhav, Yatin Karyekar, Ananya Sengupta, Shantanu Moghe, Meera Patharkar and Ranjit Jog .
