No other art-form can compete with portraits in terms of modesty, simplicity and also depth. It’s a timeless artform that shows that a simple pencil or charcoal can create miracles on paper. While self-portraits have been a favourite of legends such as Frida Kahlo or Vincent Van Gogh we also have seen portraits of the likes of Pt. Bhimsen Joshi or Bob Marley for that matter wherein every inch of the canvas has as if sung on  their behalf. Both self-portraits and portraits of others have one thing in common- truth… and layers and layers of it. So, portrait-making has decorated the lives of almost all artists, famous or otherwise. Making a good portrait demands efficiency with the pencil, that consumes hours and hours of deliberate practice and it is only easy to say but much more difficult to attain.

 

At Artiste 360, our portrait courses comprise of basic, intermediate and advanced level also in addition we have charcoal pets, a special session for all you pet lovers. As you escalate to higher levels, your choice of medium widens, eventually widening your horizon and giving multiple nuances to your artistic expression. We at Artiste 360 reduce your toil by offering techniques, tactics and rules of thumb that come straight out of our geniuses and your instructors. The courses, beautifully conducted by Mackwin Baptist who works in the field of applied arts, are tailored to measurement so that the most cumbersome tasks such as drawing eyes are made achievable. Basic, Intermediate and Advanced courses last for 5 sessions, 10 sessions and 12 sessions respectively. Taking into account the need of the hour,  we have introduced light studies, multiple mediums and plenty of advanced concepts.

Nurturing true and dedicated artists is one goal set by our queen bee Mrs. Tarang Jain who chose to set grounds for all true artists who did not know their way ahead.
