National award winning director Makrand Mane’s next is ‘Poraga Majetay’

‘My son is alright and happy’ is the loose translation of ‘Poraga Majetay’ which is a title of 

the National award winning director Makrand Mane’s next film. Director Makarand Mane brought to the Marathi silver screen stories rooted to the soil and daily life through films like ‘Ringan’ and ‘Kagar’. Makarand Mane is back with a new artwork, combining an excellent story with equally great artistes and technicians. His upcoming Marathi film ‘Poraga Majetay’, produced by ‘Ninety-nine Productions’ and ‘Bahurupi Productions’, is all set for release and has recently been selected in the Marathi Film competition section at the Pune International Film Festival. The film is produced by Vijay Shinde, Shashank Shende and Makarand Mane.

Born out of curiosity about human emotions and relationships, many films underlining these different aspects have hit the silver screen and have been well received by the audience. The meaning of the relationship between father and son that unfolds at every stage of life, the bonds that are formed anew, the responsibilities that come with it, it is a beautiful combination of dialogue and discord in the film ‘Poraga Majetay’.

The director has just as effectively presented a very simple and sweet story from the real life happening around us. National Award winning director Makarand Mane expressed his belief that this emotional journey of father-son relationship will be an enriching experience for everyone.

The story of the film ‘Poraga Majetay’ is by Vitthal Nagnath Kale. Screenplay and dialogues are by Makarand Mane and Vitthal Nagnath Kale. Vijay Gawande has composed the music and background music for the songs written by Guru Thakur and Vaibhav Deshmukh.  Vocals for the songs are those of Ajay Gogavale, Anand Shinde and Abhay Jodhpurkar. Cinematography by Yogesh Koli and editing by Aashay Gatade. The sound design is by Piyush Shah. The costumes are by Anuttama Nayakwadi and the art direction is by Mahesh Kore.
