Tele-Celebs talk about their role models!
Women have been the epitome of love, compassion, strength, courage, bravery, selflessness, sacrifices and what not; it’s time to celebrate and acknowledge them.
Ahead of International Women’s Day, we asked actors to name women they most admire, look up to, revere and aim to be more like.
Here’s what they have to say:
Saurabh Kaushik:
Warrior queen Rani Laxmi Bai: Inspired by her courage and bravery
Women idol we should take inspiration from is Rani Laxmi bai. She had responsibilities of her kingdom, towards her family she courageously fought all the battles and held her hopes high. She was brave, bold and clever, there is a lot we need to learn from her.
Aniruddh Dave:
Mother and women writers and directors: Grateful for the contribution from these women in my life
There is a huge contribution of women in my life including my mother, my sister, wife and friends. Professionally, in our industry because of women empowerment we have such good women writers and directors. In every sector women’s contribution is increasing.

Rekha: Inspired by her journey
Rekha: Inspired by her journey
My idol is Rekha ji because she is somebody, who was born in a different era and today she is as gorgeous, as evergreen, positive and full of life despite all the challenges she has faced in her life. She had the guts to live the way she wanted to live, she worked very sincerely. The woman I would want to celebrate this Woman’s Day is Rekha ji.
Sidharrth Sipani:
Bats for safety and equality of woman
One day of celebration is too small to acknowledge their presence in the world. Make every day International Women’s Day. Do your bit to ensure that the future for girls is bright, equal, safe and rewarding.

Mother Teresa and Rani Laxmi Bai: Encouraged by their Selflessness, fighter and a go getter attitude
Mother Teresa and Rani Laxmi Bai: Encouraged by their Selflessness, fighter and a go getter attitude
I connect with two women Mother Teresa and Rani Laxmi Bai. Mother Teresa showed us humanity she did not get anything out of it she worked selflessly. She taught people beautiful lessons. She opened so many institutes, worked for women, children, education and supported a lot of people. I love Mother Teresa for working towards humanity.
Rani Lakshmi Bai has shown the spirit of a fighter and a go getter and this is what woman power is all about. The determination, the will power and her focus was like a warrior. She stood up for her rights. She emerged as a hero.
Hrishikesh Pandey:

Women’s Day should be celebrated 365 days. I look up to my mother she has seen all up’s and down’s in life, took care of the family, work life, and other things.
I look up to all those women who have contributed in the fight for freedom like lady Mountbatten, Kasturba Gandhi, Margaret Thatcher, Indira Gandhi and achievers like Mary Kom. I salute every woman who’s out there achieving their dreams.
Kiran Bedi being the first woman to join the Indian Police Service became an inspiration for all the women. She is the definition of discipline, power and a leader. I get inspired by her all the time.
