‘Udaariyaan’ actor Ankit Gupta says, ‘Boxing is a very challenging sport and it requires a lot of physical and mental stamina’!

Colors’ recently launched Udaariyaan, a show that tells the very beautiful and unique story of three individuals who all want different things in life. While the sisters’ Jasmine (Isha Malviya)  and Tejo’s (Priyanka Choudhary) lives are affected by the dream of going to Canada, Fateh’s (Ankit Gupta) life changes course because of his love for Jasmine.

 

The characters in the show are very well defined and the actors have really gone the extra mile to do justice to these beautifully written characters. Ankit Gupta who plays Fateh, a boxer, said it was quite taxing physically to get into the role of a boxer. He observed the body language of professional athletes and their style to slip into the skin of his character.

 

Commenting on this Ankit Gupta as Fateh said, “My character in the show is very different from any previous work I have done in the past. While there are a lot of similarities between me and my character, the only major difference is boxing! Fateh’s character has helped me learn a new skill. Boxing is a very challenging sport and it requires a lot of physical and mental stamina. I started training for boxing everyday on the set by watching youtube videos. While the training was painful, I am happy with the results and I hope the viewers will appreciate my efforts.”
