Bharat Pahuja enjoys playing ‘Candyman’ in ‘Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha’!
Guess the name Bharat Pahuja’s fans and family call him for his portrayal of Keshav Rawal in Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha? Well, they call him Candyman. The actor is happy that his character has been accepted.
“To be honest, I am totally in love with my character. Keshav is a light-hearted man, who loves to eat sweets. He’s someone who cares for everyone, loves his family. If we go by that, I’m a huge fan of sweets too in real life, I like to make people laugh and I can do anything to protect my family, so Keshav is much like me in real life. Though I don’t take my character home, but in a way Keshav is already a part of me,” he talks about his character.
Pahuja shares that the “title of the show speaks” to him “on different levels”, it clearly says a lot about the essence of the show and throws light on what is the meaning of unconditional love.
The actor also praises producers of the show Sonali and Amir Jaffar of Full House Media. “It’s a wonderful experience to collaborate with them. They are just like family. I’m glad that I got the opportunity to work with them. They are one of those who keep on experimenting, which is what we need. I believe our industry is evolving. The shows that are being made these days are more realistic,” says the actor, who has been part of shows Ek Haseena Thi, Dil Dosti Dua, Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma and Bhaukaal.
Pahuja has also done shorts films, commercials and ovies such as Malaal, Good Newz, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, Kamyaab, among others.
“In my opinion, the best thing being a part of the industry is that we entertain people. This world is not all hearts and roses. People have their struggles and as a part of the entertainment industry I can say that we do make a difference to their lives. We make them happy,” says Pahuja, who sips in on green juices after a hard day at work to relax. Interestingly if not an actor, he would have been a jewellery designer. He has always been creative.
Ask if he is worried with rising covid cases in Mumbai and he replies, “It is scary out there, I won’t lie. The precautions taken by our production house are really impressive and that’s the reason why I’m quite relaxed. I also follow all norms.”
