Senior film publicist BK Verma breathes his last!

#Bollywood’s famous senior film publicist/pro #BKVerma passed away on Tuesday. 80-year-old BK Verma started his film career as a still photographer in the 60s. Later, he managed to establish his distinguished image in the film industry as a film journalist/pro and executive film producer. In the month of October 2019, BK Verma fell seriously ill and since then, till last Tuesday night, fighting the battle for life and death together while traveling from the residential flat ‘Gulshan’ in Juhu to Nanavati Hospital.

He was known as the favorite PRO of the films of Dev Anand, Dara Singh and Sanjay Khan. Films produced in his PRship include ‘Nanak Dukhiya Sab Sansar'(1970), ‘Mera Desh Mera Dharma'(1973), ‘Bhagat Dhanna Jaat'(1974), ‘Sawa Lakh Se Ek Ladoon'(1976), ‘Chandi Sona’. (1977), ‘Dhyanu Bhagat'(1978), ‘Shakti in Bhakti'(1978), ‘Abdullah'(1980), ‘Rustom'(1982), ‘Kala Dhandha Gore Log'(1986), and ‘Karan'( 19494) are noteworthy.

As a PRO, he was signed by producer-director Ravi Kaushal for the film ‘Agnikund’ (title changed – Agnimarg) based in Jharkhand.
