Sony SAB’s artistes pay tribute to Chocolate on World Chocolate Day!
Who doesn’t like chocolates. From kids to adults everyone realises having chocolates at any age, any day. On 7th of July #WorldChocolateDay is celebrated which is an annual celebration of anything and everything chocolate. The said date selected is because it was on July 7th 1550, the chocolate was introduced in Europe. Back home on World Chocolate Day our tele-actors Pariva Pranati, Shubhashish Jha, Sayantani Ghosh, Sahil Phull who are part of Sony SAB’s serials pay tribute to Chocolate.
Pariva Pranati aka Vandana Wagle from Sony SAB’s Wagle Ki Duniya on the occasion of World Chocolate Day said, “I have always loved eating Dairy Milk, it is one of my favourite chocolates. There is also an Amul orange flavoured chocolate that I love. Besides that, I found the chocolate called kisses really cute. My mom used to make chocolates at home and also amazing chocolate cakes. I can still recollect the taste. It brings such nostalgia. I still remind my mother to make the same chocolates and believe it or not they taste better than any chocolate in the world. Chocolates are not just stress reliever. In fact if am feeling tired also I take a bite and somehow just tend to feel better but now the chocolates at home have been hijacked by my son. At times, I love to bake dense chocolate cakes, that is my favourite. I tend to eat a little of chocolate every day and now days I mostly prefer to eat dark chocolate and nutties. I don’t think I can live without chocolates, they just make me happy and thankfully my co-actor of Wagle Ki Duniya enjoy chocolates too as well so we always carry chocolates with us.”
Shubhashish Jha aka Jijaji from Sony SAB’s Jijaji Chhat Parr Koii Hai on the occasion of World Chocolate Day said, “Dairy Milk Fruit and Nut is one of my favourite chocolates. I really like raisins, so that crunchy combination of almonds, raisins and chocolate is an absolute delight for me. As a kid, I used to be very particular about accompanying my mother for grocery shopping because I had this vested interest that in the process, I will also get to buy a few chocolates for myself. Those visits to the grocery shops were very exciting. I don’t know how to bake or make chocolates, but I always relish having cakes and chocolates. I believe having dark chocolate once in a while, uplifts my mood. Pure dark chocolate has some health benefits as well. Also, at times I indulge in dark chocolate ice cream in order to ease out when stressed. More or less, I have chocolates one way or the other every day, be it at home or on the sets of Jijaji Chhat Parr Koii Hai. A world without chocolate would be a dull place. Can’t do without chocolates!”
Sayantani Ghosh, essaying the role of Daljeet Bagga in Sony SAB’s Tera Yaar Hoon Main said, “I really love chocolates; it is my weakness and one of my guilty pleasures too. When I was growing up, we did not have access to foreign chocolates, so it is basically the Indian ones. I love Dairy milk, Fruit & Nut, Gems, Melody, Coffee Bite, etc. Every day while returning from school, I used to buy chocolates near my bus stop and till date, it is one of the things that I cannot resist. I have various fond memories attached to chocolate but there is one thing that my mum told me which is hilarious. When I was a kid, we went shopping and after eating so much, I couldn’t say my mother to buy me a chocolate, so when she was in a shop, I went to her and told that “Mumma, see that is looking at me”. The shopkeeper was also stunned and my mother too asked me who is that? And I just replied laughing “Aree noo mum! The gems is looking at me”. This is something I cannot stop laughing on whenever I remember of it. Cooking something is not really my passion. I don’t really cook or bake anything, but I love eating. Chocolates do are a huge stress buster and now that we have dark chocolates in the market too, which is good for heart. So, I believe eating dark chocolate occasionally is good for everyone, but when it comes to me. I totally love chocolates, if they have almonds and nuts in it, it is like the more the merrier to me and like a cherry to the cake. Though I really want to resist myself from eating chocolates from the calorie point of view, I always end up having a full bar of it. So, it is like I can have chocolates as often as I can, and I don’t think I can live without eating chocolates and it gives me utmost happiness. One fun thing about chocolates is that it brings a smile to everyone’s face, either it is a child or a grown up. I don’t even miss any melted part of chocolates too and I enjoy licking the wrappers without missing. Chocolate has a huge connect with everyone’s childhood and brings a big smile on the face.”
Sahil Phull who essays the role of Agni in Sony SAB’s Kaatelal & Sons said, “As a kid I was someone who was a chocolate lover and my favourite chocolate was Amul Chocolate . I remember this my father used to take me and my sister to particular shop for the chocolate. I have a sweet tooth but in the profession I am in as actor it’s important for us to stay fit. Now I prefer dark chocolate and few months back I made cakes as well to end this thirst of mine for chocolates. Chocolate is something which helps me realise my stress. Mostly after every meal I eat dark chocolate so that I have had something sweet and something I love unconditionally. For all my fans on the occasion of Chocolate day I would like to wish them a happy chocolate day and do eat it but in the correct quantity.”
