Stephane audran left for her heavenly abode at the age of 85
Stephane Audran, the French yesteryear star, recently left for heavenly abode at the ripe old age of 85. She and her husband, director Claude Chabrol had made 25 films together during their marriage, which lasted from 1964 to 1980 and many of those films saw her play unfaithful or betrayed wives mostly named Helene. Their films included Les Biches, for which Stephane Audran had won the “Best Actress” at the Berlin Film Festival in the year 1968. Another film, Violette Noziere, earned her a Cesar award in France a decade later. Ironically speaking it was only in the middle age that the great beauty Stephane Audran became a big name internationally.
