Don’t feel rahul dravid had a role in greg chappell’s decision to remove me: sourav ganguly
Sourav Ganguly had been removed from the Indian team by former coach Greg Chappell. Ganguly said that he doesn’t feel Dravid had anything to do with it. Former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly made a major revelation about the saga involving him and former coach Greg Chappell, which took place all the way back in 2005 and had seen Ganguly being removed as captain following the drama and replaced by Rahul Dravid, who was the vice-captain under him before. The ‘Prince of Kolkata’ was quoted , “I don’t think Rahul Dravid had any role. I had a word with Rahul a couple of times and he told me that you’ll be back. It was evident that the coach was against me.”The entire controversy saw Ganguly being excluded from the national ODI team in November 2005, which was followed by his expulsion from the Test side in January next year.
