Manish Wadhwa says, ‘Most importantly whatever role you do, you need to switch on and switch off immediately’!
#ManishWadhwa has been a part of shows like “#ChandraguptaMaurya”, “#Kohinoor”, “#PeshwaBajirao”, “Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon – Ek Baar Phir”, and “Hero – Gayab Mode on”, amongst others. The actor feels that the TV industry has evolved content-wise.
He said, “Our stories and concepts have progressed a lot. Like our show Hero Gayab Mode On, this kind of show has never been seen before. Other shows that you see on other channels seem fun and different too. People are making content based on what is trending now. Also, I feel we have changed a lot technically, be it VFX or graphics, music or cinematography.”
Having spent close to two decades in the field, the actor shared his learning from the industry. He said, “I have learned in these years to work hard and that you go on a new battle everyday and meet different people.”
“Most importantly you do seven to eight scenes in a day, be it a comedy scene, drama, fight sequence, or a negative character, but you need to switch on and switch off immediately. It’s not like you have time or you can take your time, you have to finish everything on the same day,” he added.
Well, Manish has also performed on other platforms like films, theatre and will soon be making his OTT debut with “Chhatrasal”, where he plays Chhatrasal’s guru Shri Pran Nath. But he feels that there is no difference between them.
“By the grace of God I’ve done a little bit on every platform and I want to keep doing it in future as well. There’s a lot left. The difference in all four is actually nothing. You can say that if you are good then you are good everywhere. If you are doing good work then you are doing good work everywhere,” he said.
“Theatre is a big mass media which does not reach a lot of people. TV definitely reaches OTT and films reach as well. So I just feel that the only difference should be that you do your good work and it somehow reaches people,” Manish concluded.
