‘Mann Sundar’, based on person’s colour of the skin, starts from 18th October on Dangal TV!

In the entertainment field, realism seems to be in fashion. Films are more content based these days and television serials are getting over from #SaasBahu dramas. #DangalTV which, in recent times, has risen to great heights because of the shows they telecast which has diversifying subjects. They are selecting stories which are real and which the audiences can relate to. Their latest offering is ‘#MannSundar’ which as the name suggests is based on person’s colour of the skin.

Shruti Anand who plays lead in ‘Mann Sunar’ identifies with the subject. She plays a simple but charming girl but is a victim of the surrounding society because of her simple looks. She is intelligent and has a heart of gold and adores her family no end. Ruchita, the character Shruti is portraying, is a very positive person who remains positive despite people’s taunts.

Mann Sundar’s male lead Nihar is played by Shivam Khajuria. He was earlier seen in Color’s popular serial ‘Molkki’. In Mann Sundar he’ll be playing lead for the first time for which very excited. Nihar is handsome, charming and a rich young guy who sometimes is a little careless. Just like today’s youth he is keen to enjoy life to the fullest. But he respects elders and is fond of his family too.

Dangal TV has made a different identity in the world of television. Dangal TV serials are quite different from the typical serials, which is why their shows are ahead in terms of TRP. Dangal TV has launched its new serial ‘Mann Sundar’, the concept and cast of the show were introduced during a press conference in Mumbai. The promo of the show is being well-liked in social media and people are curious about this new serial.

Shivam Khajuria, who is playing the role of Nihar Goyal, sais, ‘This is a very different TV show, it doesn’t have the typical saas bahu case. Generally people judge someone by his/her beautiful face or his/her body whereas this show talks about inner beauty of a person. I only understand that how good a person’s heart is, how it is necessary and important to attract someone. This Dangal TV show Mann Sundar gives this message. This is the 21st century, now we should get out of the old mindset of the society and also need to change its thinking. I have a great bonding with Shruti. She is very cute and a great actress. I have a very good chemistry with the entire cast.’

Shruti Anand, who is playing the female lead character Ruchita in Mann Sundar, said, ‘My acting career started with a cameo role in director Sabir Khan’s film Nikamma. I did the parallel lead role of Gauri in Teri Ladli. The show went off early due to the lock down. I am very happy that I am doing my first show as a lead. With Mann Sundar, it is a dream come true feeling. If I define Mann Sundar, it would be that don’t think bad about anyone, don’t do bad, do good for all. First be a good person, only then everything will come to you. This is the story of a girl named Ruchita who is dark and wears glasses. The people of the society talk about her in various ways that she is dark skinned, she cannot see without glasses, then who will marry her? Despite listening to everything, she remains positive, comes out stronger. Nothing is more important to her than her family, I think that’s why I can connect to my character Ruchita a lot. Working experience with Shivam is amazing.’

Suraj Punjabi, who plays Nihar’s elder brother Prateek, said that Mann Sundar is a very real show, it is not a typical serial like Saas Bahu. This message has been given in Mann Sundar that you should not judge a person by his looks, his body, but look at his heart. The stereotype of society has to be broken now.

Manisha Saxena, who is playing the role of Ritu, said that she is doing Radha Krishna for Star Bharat. “In Mann Sundar, I am playing the role of Nihar’s sister-in-law. Ritu was a model before marriage, how will she adjust in this family? It will be very interesting to see this in the show. As the name of the show, it gives the same message that one should see the beauty of the ‘Mann’ first, the attractiveness of fair complexion or body does not last long. In Wajah Tum Ho, I did a cameo and played the role of Rajneesh Duggal’s secretary. I am very happy and excited to do this show as the atmosphere of the sets is like home. The actors are very supportive and the directors are very cool.”

Talking about all the actors of the show, Shruti Anand is playing the role of Ruchita and Shivam Khajuria is playing the role of Nihar. Amitabh Ghanekar is playing the role of Ruchita’s father, Geeta Bisht as Ruchita’s mother and Kajal Khanchandani as grandmother. Krishna Ganesh is playing the role of Ruchita’s brother, Palak Jain is playing the role of Ruchita’s friend. Sanjay is playing the role of Nihar’s father, Aparna Ghoshal as Nihar’s mother, Mamta Luthra as grandmother and Suraj Punjabi as Nihar’s brother.

‘Mann Sundar’ will start airing Monday to Saturday at 8:30 pm on Dangal TV from October 18.
