#SonySAB artists, #SumeetRaghavan, #SayantaniGhosh, #GeetanjaliTikekar comment on domestic violence! #SumeetRaghavan aka #RajeshWagle from Sony SAB’s #WagleKiDuniyaNayiPeedhiNayeKissey: “This is a fantastic initiative by Sony SAB, and domestic violence seriously needs to be looked into and dealt with an iron hand. So many cases don’t come out, and many of them are suppressed and brushed under the carpet. I seriously feel that we should respect each living being, life is too short to hold grudges, to be angry and to fight. Life is meant for spreading love. Please spread love and not hatred and take care of everyone around you, human beings, or animals. And, if you know anyone around you who is going through such abuse, support them and help them stand-up against this social evil #SayNoToDomesticAbuse”.

Sayantani Ghosh aka Daljeet Bagga from Sony SAB’s Tera Yaar Hoon Main: “In recent times, Sony SAB has been taking some outstanding initiatives. Last week, against period taboo on Wagle Ki Duniya and now against domestic violence and standing with Koel. I truly support this initiative, and I think as a human being and woman, I have always stood against domestic violence, whether physical or emotional. I want everyone to be aware and stand up against this evil practice. So often, people put up with mental abuse, and they don’t even realise it because usually only physical abuse is considered a sign of abuse. So, my piece of advice would be to not put up with any kind of abuse, regardless of your gender. We live in a time where a lot of professional help is available, so we avail that. We should always confide in our family members, especially girls. Be courageous, believe in yourself, love yourself, and respect yourself because if you don’t respect yourself, people will walk over you, so it’s high time you stand up for yourself and love yourself.”

Geetanjali Tikekar aka Savita from Sony SAB’s Shubh Laabh – Aapkey Ghar Mein: “I think taking a stand against domestic violence is the need of the hour. I believe it is a crucial issue, and a very thoughtful and strong initiative undertaken by Sony SAB. Many women do not realise that it’s not normal for their partners to exert power over them against their will. Orthodox beliefs and toxic patriarchy trivialise woman’s own needs and makes her put others before herself. I firmly believe that self-love and self-respect through education will be a step towards creating awareness and stating a point that’s understood by all. We need to fight back against domestic violence and should stand by each other through testing times.”
