ACB promises quality cricket and loads of fun in season 3!
Being the founder of #ActorsCricketBash (ACB), #DilipAgrawal is all keyed up to host the third season of the popular star-studded cricketing tournament. This T10 format series that bears the tagline #ReelActorsRealCricket, will be held between March 19 and March 22, in Air India Ground, Mumbai. Actors like Shabir Ahluwalia, Abhishek Verma, Kabir Sadanand, Shiv Narayan, Abhishek Kapur, Suyyash Rai, Kashish Thakur are also a part of it.
“Every game and every season of ACB is special. There are more than 80 young actors who come together on the field to play cricket. It’s their passion for the sport and love for ACB that makes this league a successful one. This season is special in a way that we have the new Bhojpuri Star as the fourth team, which shows ACB is being looked at by other regions also, and by next season we are looking to add more regional teams,” he says.
The captains of all the four teams this year are Jay Bhanushali for Ahmedabad Lions, Sharad Kelkar for Mumbai Aces, Manav Gohil for Delhi Titans and Pravesh Lal Yadav for Bhojpuri Stars.
Dilip shares that it is very difficult to get the dates of all 80 actors and more so for four days in a row. “This tournament is unique in its own way. Also, once the viewers see that this is real and hardcore cricket, they fall in love with this tournament. We have made it a T10 format from this season onwards, 10 overs per innings. It is the fastest format of cricket and going to be very exciting,” he adds.
Having played cricket himself, Dilip has many fond memories of playing the game. “The one special would be scoring 266 runs in my debut Times Shield Match. I know the passion and excitement this game brings about and hope ACB will be able to entertain viewers. Would request everyone to watch this season and enjoy an exciting game and spend quality cricket time as actors sweat it out on the field to take the trophy home. I request everyone to watch this season of ACB, it is going to be very exciting to see your favourite actors sweat it out on the field to entertain you while playing cricket the way it should be played ,” he signs off.
