Sujay Dahake to recreate 1953 film ‘Shyamchi Aai’, shoot commences in Pawas!
In #Maharashtra #PandurangSadashivSane is known as #SaneGuruji. In 1933 Sane Guruji wrote the book ‘#ShyamchiAai’ out of immense love, devotion and gratitude for his mother. Sane Guruji wrote ‘Shyamchi Aai’ in just five days while he was in #NashikJail. The movie by the same name was made in Marathi which was hugely appreciated by the viewers. The greatness of a word ‘Mother’ will be alive on big screen, once again.
Some time ago director Sujay Dahake announced the film ‘Shyamchi Aai’ for the benefit of today’s younger generation as he feels that they should know about Shyamchi Aai. The shooting of this new movie has commenced at a holy place Pawas in Konkan. This film is going to make audience nostalgic as it is in black and white.
Sujay has taken up the mantle on directing ‘Shyamchi Aai’ with the aim of passing on the teachings of Sane Guruji’s to today’s younger generation. In this film, many actors from Konkan region are portraying various roles. For Shyam’s title role, auditions took place of child actors from across Maharashtra, and the name is kept under wraps. The film will be shot in many picturesque places in the Konkan region.
Sujay has always tried to make films that are different from the mainstream cinema. Sujay, who has won national awards for ‘Shala’, has entertained the audience by making diverse and innovative movies like ‘Phuntroo’, ‘Ajoba’, ‘Kesari’. The film ‘Shyamchi Aai’ is the next step on this path, for which he has done a lot of research. Sujay and his team are working hard to ensure that their movie takes the audience back to the time of thirties.
Producer Amruta Arun Rao’s ‘Shyamchi Aai’ is being produced under the banner of Amruta Films. With the auspicious hands of Maharashtra State Minister for Higher and Technical Education Shri Uday Samant, the muhurat of ‘Shyamchi Aai’ was held and immediately the shoot of first schedule began. Shooting of Shyamchi Aai, plans to complete in two schedules.
