Sonu Sood’s pious gesture during ‘Ramadan’
Covid 19 has forced everyone to maintain social distancing. India has announced national lockdown and everyone, including film stars, are forced to stat in the house. But many celebrities are sending help to the needy which includes Sonu Sood too. Sonu Sood sure knows how to spread love and bring a smile on people’s faces in these difficult times of coronavirus. The actor recently won hearts after providing his Juhu hotel in Mumbai for the accommodation of Doctors, Nurses and para medical staff and as well for his food and ration drive that’s feeding more than 45,000 people on a daily basis in Mumbai. After making such important contributions to the society amidst the pandemic, Sonu Sood has now decided to provide meal kits to over 25,000 migrants living in Bhiwandi area during the month of Ramadan. The initiative will help these migrants who are under privileged and have come from far away towns like Bengal, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
Applauding Sonu Sood’s effort to help the needy, MLA Bhiwandi, Rais Shaikh says he’s happy to see him feeding people during the month of Ramadan. He further adds, “It truly is a very sweet gesture by him. Sonu is a good guy and I already heard he’s feeding some 45,000 people which is very encouraging. I am glad that he thinks about these migrants of Bhiwandi and has come forward to help them.” Sonu Sood also opened up about the special initiative saying, “Times are so difficult today that it’s very important for each one of us to stand for each other. Through this initiative, I would be helping all those who would be fasting during this period & we would provide special meal kits so they don’t stay hungry after fasting all day.”
