Banarasiya Abhay Sharma’s dark comedy on India’s Laughter Champion amazes judges Archana Puran Singh and Shekhar Suman!

Presenting different styles of comedy to the viewers, regional comedians from all across India are showing off their talent on the stage of #SonyEntertainmentTelevision ‘s #India’sLaughterChampion. Having premiered last weekend much to the entertainment of the viewers, this upcoming Saturday, along with the judges #ArchanaPuranSingh and Shekhar Suman will be present ‘#ComedyKeSarpanch’ #GurpreetGhuggi and guests, the star cast of ‘#Nikamma’, #ShilpaShetty, #AbhimanyuDassani and #ShirleySetia. Amidst the various form of comedy presented in front of a full-house audience will be 26-year-old Abhay Sharma, hailing from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh who is Blind.

The comedian presented a stand-up on dark humour, complete with jokes about himself and also commenting upon the socio-political culture of India. Shekhar Suman who was blown away by his performance said, “Abhay talking for such a long time and maintaining the comedy quotient at that is such a difficult task! We were tired from laughing at your jokes but you continued speaking. You brought so many characters into your jokes. When people imitate, they usually copy celebrities and personalities, but you chose people who are difficult to emulate. Your observational skills are so prolific, and your acts have been so flawless, I salute your optimism and we are proud to have you on our show. By coming here, you have enhanced the value of our show.”

Archana Puran Singh compares young Abhay to the legendary music composer Beethoven saying, “There was a great musician called Beethoven who was deaf and yet his music is listened to globally. There is a saying that when you lose one sense all other senses become heightened, and your commentary is based on your acute hearing sense. You showed us what we listen to but do not notice, with finesse. You are mind-blowingly talented.”

In the end Shekhar Suman also complimented the entertainer saying, “your passion and focus towards comedy is beautiful. We are sure that you will be among the top finalists of the show!”

An elated Abhay Sharma spoke about his experience in the show, “I think making people laugh is the greatest gift anyone can get and I am just grateful that god blessed me with this talent. I thank Sony TV and India’s Laughter Champion for this golden opportunity. The competition is tough, there are many good comedians in the race but I will try my best to be th best among them.”
