‘Yashomati Maiyaa ke Nandlala’ actor Suman Gupta says, “I am a Krishna devotee and do Krishna-jaap every morning”!

#SonyEntertainmentTelevision’s latest offering, #YashomatiMaiyyaKeNandlala, is winning the audience’s hearts with its refreshing narrative. The show highlights the unbreakable bond between a mother and son, Yashoda and Kanha (Lord Shri Krishna) and Yashoda Maiyaa’s desire for a child from her point of view.

Elated to be a part of the show, Suman Gupta essaying the role of Devaki, has been working hard to bring authenticity to the character. Viewers will be surprised to know that since the time she started shooting, she has been following the ritual of chanting the Krishna Jaap every morning to remain fresh and positive.

Commenting on this, Suman Gupta says, “I am a big Krishna bhakt since I was a little girl. It has been 15 years since I started following Lord Krishna. I feel that there is a strong connection between me and Lord Krishna.”

When I lost my mother, I felt clueless and lonely in life. This is when Lord Krishna sheltered me and came to my rescue. I came across the ‘Hare Krishna’ mantra and have been chanting it every morning since then. It brings in a lot of positivity in me,” she adds.
