Unseen look from the Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Anurag Kashyap starter Ghoomketu
It is not a hidden fact that actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Anurag Kashyap have worked on several projects together, but both of them will be sharing screen space for the first time in ZEE5’s ‘Ghoomketu’. The makers of the film released the teaser recently which promises that the film will be a fun ride with an interesting plot. Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be seen as the lead, playing the character of an aspiring writer and Anurag Kashyap as a corrupt and lazy cop. “My dynamic with Ghoomketu’s character is a commotion of near captures and lazy pursuit. I play the role of a corrupt cop who is on a mission to find Ghoomketu. Moving over to the other side and acting is fun, especially when you have such a stellar cast! Working with Nawazuddin again was fantastic, as usual. I am looking forward to the audience response on my digital debut with ZEE5. They have an extensive reach and this movie will be a great family watch.” says Anurag Kashyap.
As seen in this never before seen image, Nawazuddin is seen holding a bundle of clothes in his hand above his shoulder on a staircase wearing a white vest with a picture of Amitabh Bachchan on it. While at the same time, Anurag Kashyap is seen in his inspector uniform standing right behind him trying to look at the person Nawaz is having a conversation with. Directed by Pushpendra Nath Misra and produced by Phantom Films and Sony Pictures Networks (SPN), this film will be exclusively releasing on ZEE5 on 22nd May. The quirk and humour in the movie is exaggerated with dramatic linguistic annotations. The film is set in a wickedly playful backdrop and will be great for the entire family to watch together. Ghoomketu also has ace director Anurag Kashyap playing a cop and the talented Ila Arun as Ghoomketu’s Aunt, in lead roles along with Raghubir Yadav, Swanand Kirkire, Ragini Khanna and others. The film will also see special cameos from Amitabh Bachchan, Ranveer Singh, Sonakshi Sinha, Chitrangada Singh, Lauren Gottlieb and filmmaker Nikhil Advani.
This quirky comedy is all set to confuse, entertain and make you laugh this Eid weekend exclusively on ZEE5.
