Marathi movie ‘Palyad’ gets noticed by reputed International magazine Forbes!

Quite a few Marathi films known for it’s concept ridden subjects have been doing rounds of International film festivals. But now a Marathi film has been appreciated by a leading international magazine. Internationally renowned magazine ‘Forbes’ has taken notice of the Marathi film ‘Palyad’, which won awards at various film festivals in the country and abroad. ‘Forbes’ has published a complete interview with director Shailesh Bhimrao Dupare and information about the film on their online portal. In an interview conducted by Forbes, the director, Shailesh Bhimrao Dupare, the interviewer discussed and understood the entire journey of the film ‘Palyad’. Incidentally the story of this film revolves around a family in a graveyard society.

‘Palyad’ has succeeded in attracting the attention of the film industry as well as ithe fans. It is a matter of pride and admiration for Marathi film industry as a Marathi film director’s published in an internationally leading magazine like ‘Forbes’. Shailesh Bhimrao Dupare has done a three-year Post Graduate Diploma in Scriptwriting and Film Direction from Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. He has also co-written and creatively directed the film Tarayanche Bet. Palyad is his directorial debut. Commenting on the oppressive customs, traditions, customs and practices of the society, this film has tried to show the reality of today’s Maharashtra. The film has won various awards as the critics of the national and international film festivals have also felt the sensitivity of this subject.

Directed by Shailesh Dupare, the film is produced by visionary businessman and producers Pawan Sadamwar, Suraj Sadamwar, Mangesh Dupare, Pranoti Panchal and Shailesh Bhimrao Dupare from Chandrapur under the banner of Elevate Films and Elevate Life and Lavanya Priya Arts.

The story of the film has been written by Sudarshan Khandagale, while Sudarshan Khandagale and Shailesh Bhimrao Dupare have penned the screenplay and dialogues. The film stars Shashank Shende, Devika Daftardar, child actor Ruchit Ninave from Ballarashah, Devendra Dodke, Veera Sahitdar, Sachin Giri, Saili Dethe, Bharat Rangari, Babita Uike, Ravi Dhakate, Gajesh Kamble etc.

‘Palyad’ is slated to release across Maharashtra on November 4 through K Sera Sera Distribution.
