In ‘Indian Idol 13’, Hema Malini and Esha Deol praise Navdeep Wadali’s lineage and singing!

 

This Sunday, at 8:00 pm, Sony Entertainment Television’s singing reality show, #IndianIdol–Season13, will see the Top 11 contestants make the, #‘mausammusicana’ by performing some memorable and nostalgic songs in the presence of Bollywood’s, #‘DreamGirl’ #HemaMalini for the ‘Dream Girl Special’ episode. Not only this, adding charm and beauty to the evening will also be her daughter and actor, #EshaDeol. Judged by #VishalDadlani, #NehaKakkar and #HimeshReshammiya, the Sunday episode will see the contestants pay tribute to the most popular, loved and successful leading diva of Hindi cinema ‘Hema Malini”. Contestant #NavdeepWadali from Amritsar will be seen giving a soulful performance on the song ‘Mere Naina Sawan Bhaado’, originally sung by the legendary music artist Lata Mangeskar for the film Mehbooba in 1976.

Complimenting Navdeep’s performance, Esha Deol shares, “Your voice really touched my heart! The one thing I really like about you is that you are diligently following and taking your family tradition ahead. You’re the third generation of your family and to take the tradition of Indian Classical music ahead even in today’s time is a big deal as there are very few who do that. Please continue and my best wishes to you.”

Hema Ji will be seen complimenting Navdeep’s performance and adds, “I feel overwhelmed to know that you belong to the family of the well-known and respected “Wadali brothers”, and it’s great that you are taking the legacy of your tradition forward”. This song which Lata Ji originally sang, is a very tough song to sing. It is important that you showed courage and obeyed this song, and you sang it flawlessly. I am impressed that you sing classical music and Bollywood songs which is elementary for singers like you. With every artist, the art remains immortal, like I would be overwhelmed if my two daughters, Esha and Ahana, follow all my traditions and try to make this tradition immortal. I remember when Rajesh Khanna Ji and I were shooting some sequence of the Mehabooba movie, this sizzling song came directly from the recording studio, and Shaakti Samata Ji was so impressed that he called us to listen to the song. Everyone was so excited that R.D. Burman Ji also landed in the studio that day. I have heard a lot of junior talents on different reality shows, but I feel Indian Idol is something different. You people have made your name from this stage; thus, move forward in life and do your best; best wishes to you. I am enjoying the show very much”.

Adding to the magic, the Top 11 contestants, Navdeep Wadali from Amritsar, Rishi Singh, Bidipta Chakraborty, Anushka Patra, Debosmita Roy, Senjuti Das, Sonakshi Kar from Kolkata, Chirag Kotwal from Jammu, Vineet Singh from Lucknow, Shivam Singh, Kavya Limaye from Gujarat are all set to make you weekend musicana!
