A heartwarming tale of hope and friendship, ‘Bicycle Days’!
Bicycle Days is an upcoming drama film produced by Dhanshri Rode, Deepa Sule, and Devyani Anant under the banner of Katharsis films. The film is set to hit theatres on April 14th, 2023, and is shot at various locations in Madhya Pradesh.
The story revolves around a 10-year-old boy named Ashish, who misses the opportunity to receive a bicycle through a government cycle distribution program. Unlike his friends who live far away, Ashish stays near the school, and this proximity becomes the reason for him losing the chance of owning a bicycle. As a result, he has to use second-hand books of his sister, and his morale is shattered when he sees his sister receiving a bicycle as a gift from their grandfather.
These incidents lead Ashish to lose interest in his studies and the game of cricket, of which he was once the champion. However, things take a turn when Shekhar, a young school teacher who is struggling with his own problems, becomes a friend, philosopher, and mentor to Ashish. Shekhar’s support helps Ashish regain his lost confidence and reignite his passion for learning and playing.
Devyani Anant directs, writes the story, screenplay, and dialogues for the film, and the music is composed by Keyur Bhagat. Saheb Shrey writes the lyrics, and the background score is given by Vivek Abhishek. Ajay Kadwadkar choreographs the dance sequences, and P Kalyani Sunil handles the cinematography.
Bicycle Days stars Darshit Khanwe as Ashish and Soham Shah as Shekhar. Other actors include Rishabh Sah, Parv Agarwal, Mudit Gunhere, Mitul Gupte, Nidhi Dewan, and Umesh Shukla.
