A magical weekend on Indian Idol 12 with Randhir Kapoor and Kumar Sanu along with Kavita Krishnamurthy!

#SonyEntertainmentTelevision has created two specially curated themes for the viewers this weekend with ‘#RandhirKapoorSpecial’ episode and ‘Dosti Special episode with #KumarSanu and #KavitaKrishnamurthy’. Promising non-stop entertainment, the weekend episodes will witness some marquee performances put forth by the Top 6 contestants. Adding a dash of glamour and glitz, the team of ‘Chutzpah’ will also be seen gracing the show. Varun Sharm, Elnaaz Norouzi and Manjot SIngh will be seen raising the temperature with their presence. Encouraging the contestants, they will be seen talking about their web series, too. An evening that sees a myriad of musical melodies, surprises and special guests who will be engaging in some fun banter with the contestants awaits the viewers. Here are some of the grand moments to look out for this weekend:

Randhir Kapoor shares an interesting trivia behind the song ‘Ek Radha Ek Meera’ –
The talented Arunita Kanjilal performs on not one or two but three of his films songs namely ‘Pyar Hua Ikrar Hua’, ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’ and ‘Ek Radha Ek Meera’. After her performance, Randhir Kapoor will be seen sharing a trivia about the song ‘Ek Radha Ek Meera’ where he throws light on how the song was sung by Ravinder Jain Ji at a wedding where he along with his father, Raj Kapoor Saab was present. He (Raj Kapoor) enjoyed it so much that he requested him to sing it again and also asked if the song was from some movie. When he found out that it’s not, he announced that this song is his from that moment onwards.

Taimur Ali Khan surprises Randhir Kapoor with a cute gift – In this special episode of Randhir Kapoor, his grandson Taimur Ali Khan, son of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan sends a cute hand-made greeting card which says, “I love you, Nana. Take Care.” Taken aback by surprise with this sweet gesture, Randhir Kapoor is seen acknowledging this effort and says that he loves his grandchildren more than Karisma and Kareena.

Randhir Kapoor reveals how Kapoors are huge foodies and surprises everyone with Punjabi Lassi – Contestant Sayli Kamble who gives an incredible performance on the song ‘Ramaiyya Vasta Vaiyyan’ and ‘Ye Galiyan Ye Chaubara’ asks Randheer Kapoor to reveal how much of a foodie is the Kapoor family. Randhir Kapoor will be seen sharing how much the Kapoor family loves to eat and how the food needs to be good and tasty, irrespective of the time. After this sweet banter, Randhir Kapoor surprises everyone with Punjabi Lassi. Everyone will be seen relishing it and thank him for the sweet gesture.

Kavita Krishnamurthy felt she was listening to a recording during Arunita’s performance –
Celebrating the Dosti Special Episode with Kumar Sanu and Kavita Krishnamurthy this week, Top 6 contestants will be singing their mega-hits. One such contestant, Arunita Kanjilal will be performing on songs ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ and ‘Humpe Yeh Kisne Hara Rang Dala’. Amazed to see Arunita perform with such ease and grace, Kavita Krishnamurthy says, “I felt like I am listening to a recorded song. You were wonderful.”

Shanmukha Priya’s energetic performance on ‘Hawa Hawai’ impresses Kavita Krishnamurthy; shares some trivia about the song – One of the Top 6 contestant Shanmukkha Priya performed on late Sridevi’s hit number ‘Hawa Hawai’ sung by Kavita Krishnamurthy herself. Post her performance, the much appreciated singer compliments Shanmukha Priya and also shares some trivia about the lyrics of the song. Kavita Krishnamurthy will be seen sharing how the lyrics of the song were added, words such as ‘Assi-tussi’, ‘Lassi-pissi’ right before recording the songs. With Hong-Kong, King-Kong must also be there. She will also be seen sharing how Javed Saab, in the middle of the night felt that the last word of this song must be ‘Mumbasa’

Kavita Kishnamurthy praises Sayli Kamble, says ‘It feels like Mera Piya Ghar Aaya is your song and not mine’ – The ‘Bharat Ki Beti’, Sayli Kamble will be seen performing on the song ‘Mera Piya Ghar Aaya’. Winning the hearts of the viewers, judges and special guests, Kavita Krishnamurthy will be in awe of her talent. She will be seen giving her the compliment of her life as she says ‘It feels like Mera Piya Ghar Aaya is your song and not mine’

Kavita Krishnamurthy and Arunita Kanjilal sing an energetic duet on the song ‘Dola Re Dola’ – Arunita Kanjilal’s brilliant performance on the song ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ and ‘Humpe Yeh Kisne Hara Rang Dala’ will be applauded by everyone, especially Kumar Sanu. So much that he requests how Arunita must get a chance to debut with Kavita ji, just as Shreya Ghoshal did for ‘Dola Re Dola’. Setting the stage by fire with their performance, Kavita Krishnamurthy will be singing the iconic song ‘Dole Re Dola’ with Aruntia Kanjilal

Kumar Sanu insists Pawandeep to reveal who his best friend is on Indian Idol 12 and this is what he says… – After Pawandeep Rajan’s heartfelt performance on ‘Tum Mile Dil Khile’ and ‘Tu Hi Re’, Kumar Sanu gives Pawandeep some motivating compliments. Celebrating the friendship day special theme, Kumar Sanu will be seen engaging in a fun banter with him as he asks him who his best friend is. After pestering a lot, Pawandeep will be revealing that his bestie is Arunita Kanjilal. Kumar Sanu will then be giving him a friendship band, which he will be tying to Arunita.

Host Aditya Narayan along with the judges will be seen having a fun time. As the show inches towards the finale, the contestants will be seen putting their best performance.
