Aamir Khan, now, wants to make four to six films in a year!

In the second episode of #RheaChakraborty’s podcast ‘Chapter 2’, Bollywood icon Aamir Khan opened up about his future in the film industry, shifting focus from acting to producing. Known for his meticulous approach to filmmaking, Aamir’s commitment to cinema remains unwavering as he transitions into a more behind-the-scenes role.
During their candid conversation, Aamir shared his intentions to significantly increase his involvement in film production. He plans to use his production house, Aamir Khan Productions, as a platform to nurture and showcase new talent. Reflecting on this, Aamir expressed, “I would like to be a platform through which people with talent, my kind of talent, the kind I like can use me as a platform. I hadn’t thought this way until now, but now I feel that instead of doing very little, I should do a lot of work in the remaining ten years.”
Discussing the future of his production house, Aamir added, “So I’m producing four films. There’s Laapataa Ladies. So, films like these where I like the story, I may not act in it, but as a production house that’s why I’m also associated with Aparna Purohit. She is heading the company now. We can do a lot of work with her. Our ideologies match.”
Aamir emphasized his vision of giving emerging talent a chance to prove their mettle, stating, “So, now I will be able to produce more films, Aamir Khan Productions can make more films. I want to make four to six films in a year so that I can give new talent a chance, and become a platform for new talent. This way I can be associated with more stories as a producer.”
With an already impressive track record of producing films that have broken numerous records and won audiences’ hearts, Aamir’s new approach to filmmaking has only heightened anticipation for his upcoming projects. Among one of the most anticipated is Sitaare Zameen Par, in which he will take on dual roles as both producer and actor, alongside Genelia Deshmukh.
