‘Aarti’ with Shankar Mahadevan in ‘Bhuj : The Pride of India’ is a big achievement for singer Surabhi Singh!

Singer Surabhi Singh is in the news these days for her Aarti song from the multi-starrer film Bhuj: The Pride of India, starring Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt. This is a big break for Surabhi, who hails from Varanasi, which will give a boost to her career. The song is sung by Surabhi Singh with legendary singer Shankar Mahadevan and composed by Amar Mohile.

Surabhi Singh was introduced to Bhuj musician Amar Mohile by famous lyricist Panchi Jalonvi, who wrote hits like “Dus Bahane”. Amar Mohile liked her voice. He sent Surabhi Singh’s voice to Bhushan Kumar of T-Series. He also found her voice very different and thus this song was recorded in her voice. Surabhi Singh told that she is grateful to the composer Amar Mohile, the entire team of the film Bhuj, and also T-Series for keeping my voice in this song. Surabhi Singh also thanked Panchi Jalonvi who supported her a lot. She sang for several albums of Audio Curry.

After showing the magic of her singing in school, college functions, Surabhi did the programs on All India Radio, Doordarshan and then started singing in stage shows. She came at Mumbai in 2005. Sang a lot of regional songs here and now Aarti song in a film like Bhuj is a big achievement for her.
