Abhijeet Khandkekar’s ‘KisanKonnect’, which supports ‘Eat Right India’ campaign
Popular Marathi celebrity Abhijeet Khandkekar has relied on KisanKonnect’s HomeKitchen to buy homemade Diwali Faral this year. In a personalised message to the farmers of KisanKonnect, Abhijeet spoke of how the situation has brought difficult times for farmers and their families in rural Maharashtra.
He said as the Covid-crisis rages on in cities like Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Ahmednagar etc., it is time to support the farmers. He says how KisanKonnect’s Desi Diwali Basket has traditional Diwali delicacies like Chakli, Shankarpale, Chivda, Karanji, Besan Ladoo etc. which reminds him of his childhood days where he enjoyed savouries made by his mother and grandmother. These products are made by the rural women from which are trying create additional income through KisanKonnect’s HomeKitchen. They use high quality ingredients like oil and pure cow ghee which gives real traditional taste.
He has also thanked KisanKonnect to consistently supply fresh vegetables and fruits during the lockdown.
