According to lyricist Vandana Khandelwal, trollers are nothing but attention seekers!
#AbTereBina lyricist #VandanaKhandelwal feels that being a celebrity and responsibilities go hand-in-hand.” Social media has a humongous impact on our lives. It has made the world smaller, people more accessible, and dreams more achievable,” she said.
People follow celebrities and emulate them especially, via social media so it is a huge responsibility, but everyone is not taking it seriously.
“The celebrity status definitely comes with a huge responsibility. You become an icon for so many young minds but I think it’s a two-way street, being inspired by someone is great but idolizing someone blindly is not, after all, we are all humans,” she said.
The number of followers has become an obsession with almost every person, and she thinks that the number game is insane. “People are living in a bubble, a self-created heaven of happiness, but they fail to realize that it’s only numbered and not for real,” she said.
The world of social media is fake, everyone says so, but at the same time, everyone wants attention on social media. “It’s not double standards, it completely depends on the purpose. Social media if used correctly can be such a vital catalyst in one’s growth. One should be the consumer of it, and not get consumed by it,” she shared.
Social media has become an ego-massaging tool and it is disturbing the regular life of actors as every day they need to put up new content. “More than putting new content, the focus should be to put good content,” she said.
According to her, trollers are nothing but attention seekers. “Thankfully I have not had such an experience, I guess I am still to become that famous to be trolled,” she said.
