Actor Milind Shinde turns writer with ‘Kathputli Colony’!

#Marathi movies, known for the content driven cinema, always experiment with subjects. It has always been in the forefront to drive home any kind of poignant message to the society with issue based films which often stir the emotion of the viewers. Most of the marathi films are slice of life films and are seen doing rounds at the International Film Festivals. An upcoming content driven Marathi film, ‘#KathputliColony’, is another film which’ll be able to relate to indian society at large. Producer #ShamraoKrushnaiPandurangSasane will be producing it under his banner Sham Sasane Creations.

Kathputli Colony Is being directed by Dayasagar Wankhede who had earlier directed the film ‘Copy’. The story of the film is written by Milind Shinde. His writing underlines the characters with effortless ease and dexterity. Milind Shinde and Kishore Kadam are portraying important characters in this film. The unusual title indicates that the film is an issue based movie which takes place in a village. It’s a common people’s story and will try to unearth societal issues.

Director Dayasagar Wankhede says, “Milind Shinde has written such a beautiful story that the moment I read it, I fell in love with it. I immediately decided to make a film on it. The audience will be able to watch a realistic film which sets out to tackle a major issue aesthetically. Each and every cinegoer will identify himself or herself with the issue in the film Kathputli Colony. I hope everyone identifies with the subject and likes it.”
