Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bachchan Pandey’ to release on 26th January 2022

Akshay Kumar is considered to be an expert in rapidly finishing the shoots of films. That’s why 4-5 of his films are released every year. Last year was an exception because the lockdown shut down shootings and theaters for a long time. But Akshay was the first star to start working the moment relaxation in the lockdown was announced. He went straight to London and finished shooting for ‘Bell Bottom’ and after returning started shooting for other films.

He is currently shooting for Bachchan Pandey in Jaisalmer and has already announced his release date a year hence. Sharing a photo with a dangerous look, he announced that ‘Bachchan Pandey’ will be released in cinemas on January 26, 2022, next year’s Republic Day.

The film will see a new incarnation of Akshay Kumar. In this film, Akshay Kumar will be seen in the role of a gangster who wants to be a ‘hero’. Directed by Farhad Samji, the film stars Kriti Sanon in the lead role along with Akshay. She will appear in the role of a journalist. Apart from Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon, the film also stars Arshad Warsi, Pankaj Tripathi, Bobby Deol, Riteish Deshmukh and Jacqueline Fernandez. Bachchan Pandey’s team along with Akshay, Kriti and Jacqueline are currently in Jaisalmer and shooting of the film has started this month.

Apart from this film, Akshay Kumar currently has a lot of films on hand including ‘Atarangi Re’, ‘Prithviraj’, ‘Ram Setu’, ‘Rakshabandhan’, and ‘Bell Bottom’.  His ‘Suryavanshi’ was supposed to be released last year but due to lockdown, it was postponed and it is being speculated that producer-director Rohit Shetty will release it around Holi this year.

Akshay Kumar’s Bachchan Pandey is the 10th film with the producer-friend Sajid Nadiadwala.
