Alka Yagnik : ‘Saksham is a complete replica of Udit Narayan ji’
Zee TV’s popular singing reality show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs having made a fantastic return on television with the new judges Himesh Reshammiya and Javed Ali along with former mentor Alka Yagnik, the upcoming episodes will also leave the audience mesmerised. All geared-up to set the perfect monsoon mood, this weekend, the viewers will witness the Li’l Champs singing to some of the most iconic monsoon-special Bollywood trac
While each of the contestants surely touched a chord with the judges and the jury members, Saksham Sonwane’s performance particularly happened to remind judge Alka Yagnik of an extraordinary and legendary singer. As he sang along with contestant Saee on the songs, ‘Bheegi Bheegi Raaton Mein’ and ‘Tip Tip Barsa Paani’ with a remarkable ease, Alka couldn’t help but notice a spitting image of a young Udit Narayan within him. Right from his voice modulation to his very presence on the stage, the young boy depicted the singer’s grace and by the end of his performance was popularly called the young Udit ji by the judges of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs.
Delighted with Saksham’s performance, Alka Yagnik shared, “I will have to say, Saksham is a complete replica of Udit ji! His stage mannerisms and even the sincerity in his voice is exactly like him. Infact he sung Kishore ji’s song, Bheegi Bheegi Raton Mein just like Udit ji! I am very sure that each time I see Saksham perform on stage, Udit Narayan would be dealing with hiccups from me remembering him. I enjoyed his performance thoroughly.”
Adding on to Alka Yagnik’s thoughts, judge Himesh Reshammiya said, “Saksham is literally the younger version of Udit Narayan Ji. It’s astonishing how he has captured every quirk of Udit Ji. He indeed accommodates the quality of an entertainer within him and watching him perform in such a charming mood was an absolute delight. The best part of his performance was that he was having fun being in that zone of a lover while he was at it. As an artist that is the first step, to feel the true emotion of the song while singing it .”
This Baarish-special episode will surely see some melodious and special performances put up by not just the Li’l Champs, but also the judges and jury members too. While Ranita Banerjee’s melodious rendition of Megha re megha will win everyone’s hearts, Saee and Soumya’s beautiful duet act to Asha Bhosle’s Chhoti Si kahani Se will leave everyone in awe of the two young girls. All in all, the upcoming episode of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs will have a lot of melodies, memories and surprises for the viewers.
Watch special things in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil’ Champs this Saturday and Sunday at 8 pm, only on Zee TV.
