Ambedkar asks, ‘Jaan Ki Keemat Jaat Se Kaise Tai Ki Jaa Sakti Hai?’

Babasaheb faced a lot of challenges in his growing up years, and many such incidents left a profound impact on him and changed the course of his life. The upcoming episodes of &TV Ek Mahanayak Dr B.R. Ambedkar touch upon yet another significant incident of a major plague pandemic that hit Bombay in those times had its effect on Satara. The incident once more brings to the fore the prevalence of the caste divides amongst the community.

Upon the plague pandemic spreading in the village, the local hospitals and doctors tend to the upper-caste patients, leaving lower-caste patients writhing in pain and unattended.  It results in several such patients losing their lives, which deeply devastates Ramji Sakpal (Jagannath Nivangune) and Babasaheb (Aayudh Bhanushali).

Jagannath Nivangune shares, “Such pandemics shakes our belief system in some way but at the same time also teaches us the crucial life lessons of perseverance, grit and resilience. It also brings a sense of togetherness amongst people that are brought about by seeing each other’s pain and struggles, which in turn helps people to cope up, confront their fears and emerge stronger and wiser. The episode will resonate with the viewers in some way and strike an emotional chord.”
